NARRATIVE: On the morning of January 10, 2007 the City of Spokane Fire Department responded to 1225 North Cochran to a reported church fire with flames showing. Engine 3 was first to arrive on scene and reported light smoke showing. Further investigation showed that the fire was on the outside of the building and was quickly extinguished. Forcible entry was made. The Church was filled with smoke. All floors were checked from the attic to the basement and there were no extensions to the interior and no one found inside. Overhaul and extinguishment took about one hour. No injuries reported. Six fire apparatus and two command vehicles responded for a total of twenty two firefighters. This fire is under investigation.
PROBABLE CAUSE: Underinvestigation
DAMAGE EXTENT: Outside of building and overhaul interior.
DOLLAR LOSS: 3000.00
