NARRATIVE: On the evening of August the 10th at 6:37pm the City of Spokane Fire department responded to 1711 West 10th Ave to a reported fire in the Parson's Apartments. The first arriving company reported smoke showing from the 2nd floor. Upon investigation a fire was discovered in an apartment at the far end of the hall. Pre-connected hose lines were advanced and a quick knock down of the fire took place. A search of the room and the apartment building was conducted no one was found. The tenant, an 81 year old female suffered minor smoke inhalation and first degree burns on her legs, she was transported to a local Hospital. This was a smoker caused fire which ignited a home oxygen system. The fire did extensive damage to the apartment and smoke damage to other units. One other male was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene. Nineteen firefighters and two command personnel responded to this fire.

DAMAGE EXTENT: Extensive damage to the apartment.
