NARRATIVE: Early Thursday September 3, the Spokane Fire Department responded at approximately 1:10 AM to 3528 East Lydia Court on a reported structure fire. The first fire crew responding to the above address upgraded the fire to a working structure fire from several blocks away as smoke and flames were visible from the multi-level 2-story, wood framed house. An aggressive interior attack by on scene fire crews confined the majority of the fire to the back of the structure and the roof. There was heavy smoke and heat damage through out the rest of the structure. The fire was brought under control within 30 minutes. One firefighter was injured while pulling sheetrock down from the ceiling to expose the hidden fire in the attic. That firefighter was transported to a local hospital and was treated and release. There were no reported injuries to any civilians.

PROBABLE CAUSE: The cause of the fire is under investigation by Spokane Fire Department Investigators.
DAMAGE EXTENT: There was significant fire, smoke and heat damage throughout the entire structure.
