NARRATIVE: At 2:40 PM on Sunday May 6th 2007 the City of Spokane Fire Department responded to a reported fire in a detached garage at 4004 East 2nd Ave. This garage was being used as a residence. The first fire company arrived at 2:45 PM to report heavy smoke coming from the building. It was reported that there was someone in side. A search was conducted along with an aggressive fie attack, this resulted in a quick knock down of the fire. No one was found inside and no injuries were reported. The interior was a total loss. One adult male was displaced and is being assisted by the Red Cross.
A total of 17 firefighters and one command officer responded. This fire is undetermined pending further investigating.

DAMAGE EXTENT: Total loss interior.
